Cobb County recently updated their community calendar and the following events may be of interest to the residents of Chimney Springs.
Aug 4th -- Free workshop on Home Improvement Fraud Prevention
Homeowners in Cobb will have the opportunity to attend a free workshop on how to protect themselves from home improvement, home repair and contractor fraud 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 4. For more information, or to rsvp, email

Please note that since the printing of the August Newsletter the Pool Hours have changed.
August Pool Hours are:
August 1 – 8: 10am-9pm (Stays the same)
August 9 – 31:
Weekday: 10am-4pm (a)
Weekday: 4pm-9pm
Weekends: 10am-9pm
We will have some changes for September as well but hopefully the newsletter will be printed in time for everyone to know those changes prior to Labor Day Weekend.

The bills for the bi-annual regular homeowners’ dues of $270 will be mailed on or before July 1. Please remit your payment in a timely manner. Payment is due no later than July 31. The Sharks have been swimming hard! Our first meet was against Post Oak on June 1. The Sharks came away winners with the final score being Chimney Springs 465, Post Oak 398.
The Sharks traveled to Chestnut Springs on June 8. While we faced tough competition, the meet was close and many swimmers posted best individual times. The final score was Chimney Springs 459, Chestnut Springs 475.
The Sharks will host Arbor Bridge on June 15, will travel to Pinecrest on June 22 and finish the season at home against Northampton on June 29. Look for the scores in the August newsletter.
The Cobb County Qualifying Meet is July 9-11 at Mt. View Aquatic Center. As in the past, we hope to have many swimmers qualifying for the Cobb County State Team which will compete in July at the GRPA State Meet.

The grand opening of the newly renovated clubhouse was celebrated on Sunday, June 13, 2010 at 2pm. In his remarks Don Potts, chairman of the Chimney Springs Homeowners’ Association Board of Directors, noted that the clubhouse renovation represented completion of the final task of the Five Year Plan.
